Longing for the Past was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Historical category, as well as winner of the “Best Historical Research in Recorded Folk or World Music” from the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (2014), and the 2014 “Bruno Nettl Prize” from the Society for Ethnomusicology.
